“PACENET has truly transformed the way we work for the better. Through its intuitive design, you can clearly tell that the database has been developed by clinicians, for clinicians. It has been designed to fit our every need in a way that makes it so easy and straightforward to use. The drop-down menus provide us with everything we could possibly need in a database for managing our patients’ implanted cardiac devices. From procedures to follow ups, the information we need to see and input has been thought about in such minute detail to provide us with a database that couldn’t possibly work better for us.

During Autumn 2020, we were alerted by the MHRA to an early battery depletion in one of our manufacturer’s generators. We needed to identify all of the affected patients and have them followed up within 6 weeks. Prior to PACENET, we would have had to go through every single set of paper notes to find out which patient has the MDA in question, this process would have taken an extremely long time and there was always a risk that patients may have been missed along the way – inevitably, this lengthy process would negatively impact our pacing service. Thankfully in this instance, PACENET was able to search through thousands of patients in our database to locate the 15 devices with MDAs very quickly. The system shared with us the patient’s contact details and home address so we then contacted each patient individually and assigned follow up action plans to their respective physiologists.

PACENET’s search function has been invaluable to us, particularly whenever we have an MDA with any of our products. PACENET provides us with every piece of information and functionality we could possibly need to ensure that we can work efficiently, reduce clinical risk and provide help to our patients as soon as possible.”
